BIOGRAPHY
Nate (Nathaniel) Alexander Anthony Harriott is a character designer who resides in Philadelphia, PA. Being a child of Jamaican parents, he was born and raised in Norristown, PA for about 6 years, but then moved to Philadelphia and has lived there since.
In 2024, he earned his Bachelor's of Fine Art degree in Illustration from Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. Focusing on digital illustration, Nate works on fantastical character illustrations and uses them for products like prints and artbooks to share their stories.
ARTIST'S STATEMENT
My artwork mainly consists of character illustrations with an animated style to them. They’re created with vivid color schemes and simplistic shape language. In my work, these characters are placed in various scenes where they portray their unique personalities, either by themselves or with each other. The idea is to show viewers how my characters exist in a fictional world filled with fantastical elements, but still portray realistic aspects in expressions and relationships. Whether my work is used in products like apparels, prints, or comics, I want to share the stories of my characters and the world they live in with the viewers.
